Holy Family Catholic Primary is seeking to appoint a dedicated Cook to take the lead, and join our team.
Cook in Charge - Fixed Term to 30th October 2026. Term time only plus 5 days.
To cover Maternity leave.
Salary Range NJC SCP 5-8 £25,583 to £26,824 per annum pro-rata
£13,440 to £14,093 per annum (actual salary)
Role Details
We are seeking to appoint a new member to our Kitchen Team.
The ideal candidate will be committed to food safety, organisation, and delivering a friendly and delicious food service. They will be passionate about using and cooking with fresh ingredients.
The position is 22.50 hours per week (9:30am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday)
This position requires a strong commitment to the health and well-being of our pupils and a collaborative spirit, working alongside the Leadership team, and all staff members.

As part of St Joseph’s Catholic Academy, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff working within the Trust are expected to share a commitment to doing this. You will be expected to follow and promote the procedures in the child protection and safeguarding policy and report any concerns in accordance with agreed procedures. If your own conduct in relation to the safeguarding of children and young people gives cause for concern the Trust’s child protection procedures will be followed alongside implementation of the Trust disciplinary procedures. This post will require online checks to be undertaken and an enhanced DBS check, as well as medical clearance.
